Pixel Brawl

Pixel Brawl is a 2D arena combat game from Showday Studios. It combines short rounds, movement, jumping and close-range attacks in a colorful arena. The central challenge is easy to understand: damage your opponent while protecting your own health. Winning takes more than attacking constantly. You need to judge distance, choose when to approach and avoid giving your opponent an easy opening.

Your objective

Reduce your opponent’s health to zero before they do the same to you. Watch the health bars and the match timer throughout the fight. The developed versions use a two-minute round timer. If time runs out, the fighter with more health remaining wins; equal health produces a draw. That makes defending a lead just as important as landing the next hit.

How a fight works

Move around the arena to control the space between you and your opponent. Get close enough for a melee attack, strike, then reposition before the return hit. Jumping adds another timing decision: it changes how you approach a fight and can help you vary your attacks. Earlier updates introduced increased damage for attacks made while airborne, so well-timed jumps can create useful opportunities. The exact balance may change during development.

Solo play lets you practice against a bot that follows and attacks you. The bot has also received jumping behavior, so practice involves reacting to its movements instead of standing still and repeatedly attacking. Use these rounds to learn attack range, watch how quickly your health falls and work out when to retreat.

PC controls

These controls describe the recent PC version discussed during development. Older builds and the Android version use different controls.

Characters and customization

Development has included a character customization menu with a preview and a collection of 100 character appearances. Choosing an appearance gives your fighter a personal look. These are customization options; they should not be treated as 100 separate fighters with unique powers or abilities. Appearance choices and their availability may differ between builds.

Multiplayer and development

Normal and Ranked multiplayer menus and separate matchmaking queues have been developed and tested with a custom server. Multiplayer needs a reachable compatible server and another player searching in the same mode. A local test server does not by itself make the game available to players across the internet.

Epic account integration has also been under configuration. This page does not announce a completed public Epic service, a live global matchmaking system or an Epic Games Store release. Those features need confirmation before they are presented as available.

Platforms and requirements

A Windows PC version and a separate Android test version have been created during development. This website presents information about the game; it does not run the game in your browser. Final minimum processor, memory, graphics and Android version requirements have not been verified, so no hardware specifications are claimed here.

Getting better

Start with a solo round and focus on keeping a safe distance. Approach for an attack when the opponent is within range, then move away to avoid unnecessary damage. Try jumping at different moments, but keep watching your health and the clock. A good round comes from controlling your movement, choosing your openings and adapting when your opponent changes direction.

Development note: Pixel Brawl is an evolving project. Features described here reflect its development history, and individual test builds may differ. Confirmed changes will be reflected on this page.
